Solihull News: Funeral firm's celebrating; CASTLE BROMWICH.

A CASTLE Bromwich-based funeral director, which is celebrating its centenary, will be hosting a World's Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.

William H Painter, at 150 Green Lane, will be holding the event on Friday September 28, between 10am and 2pm.

The company, which is 100 years old this year, has its hub in South Yardley with satellite branches in Castle Bromwich, Chelmsley Wood and Solihull.

The Painter family is celebrating with a cash injection to improve their Yardley base.

A Centenary Day in October will launch the new look premises, with a chance to see a collection of photographs and other materials dating back to the early 1900's.

There will also be genealogists, stone masons, and local historian Carl Chinn.
