Solihull News: Centre's crime fight success; CHELMSLEY WOOD.

A SOLIHULL shopping centre has clinched a gong for slashing crime and anti-social behaviour.

It is the second year running that Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre has won the Park Mark award, given to car parks which have passed a thorough risk assessment by police.

Centre manager Barrie Jones said: "The safety of our customers is extremely important to us.

"Over the last couple of years, we have been increasing the range of safety initiatives at the centre, including increasing CCTV in the car park.

"We are really pleased to have achieved this award again, it is great to receive recognition for the effort that we put into making sure the community enjoys their shopping experience at Chelmsley Wood."
