Solicitor's free advice.

A SOLICITOR is serving up legal advice to vulnerable people who visit a North East charity for a free meal.

Jemma Morland, from BHP Law, has started holding a fortnightly clinic at The People's Kitchen, in Newcastle, after offering to help as a volunteer.

"My mum helps out there and it inspired me to do something charitable," she said. "I was already involved in a mentoring project at a high school in Durham, so the necessary background checks had been done already, which meant I could start straightaway.

"I thought I'd be helping in the kitchen, but I was asked if I would run a legal clinic."
