SOHBATPUR -- The people of Sohbatpur are being supplied electricity with the help of wooden electric poles which have also been installed by the local people as the concerned authorities have shown lack of interest in providing power supply to the rural areas. The wooden poles are also installed in the agricultural lands of the people which in case of rain and storm result in loss to the lives and properties after the heavy tension wires fall on them. The civil society leaders of Sohbatpur while talking to the media said that the real development in Balochistan can be seen if someone pays a visit to these areas because the elected representatives show another part of the picture to the nation. They added that the people of Balochistan, who are residing in the rural areas have been ignored in the provision of water, electricity, gas and other facilities due to which they are still spending lives with several problems. On the occasion, the speakers demanded of the federal and provincial governments to improve their performance and provide basic rights to the people of Sohbatpur and other parts of Balochistan, so that they could breathe a sigh of relief, otherwise they have threatened to launch a protest movement.
