Software tracking firm success.

Staffordshire computer technology firm Parker Software has won a contract to supply website visitor tracking technology to facilities management giant Sodexho.

The company has agreed an undisclosed deal to supply its WhosON technology to Sodexho, which employs 355,000 people across 80 countries.

Keeping IT systems up and running and secure through strong security controls is considered critical by successful large organisations like Sodexho, particularly when employee internet activity is conducted across multiple locations and countries.

This led to the decision to install the WhosOn software to observe the company's employee internet activity.

WhosOn has been used on a total of 10 Internet Information Services (IIS) servers monitoring user activities in a non-intrusive system that complements existing security systems and enables the company to create reports which can be interrogated either on a daily basis or over a longer period of time.

The reports created are also used for audits for compliance in combating fraud. If an investigation is needed the software can produce results in a few mouse clicks.
