Software AG Introduces Interactive Communications Management Solution to Improve Client Loyalty and Retention.
CAMBRIDGE, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 6, 2003
XML-Based PowerLynX(TM) Enables Organizations to Create, Customize,
Send and Manage Client Communications
Software AG (Canada) Inc., a pioneer in XML solutions, today announced the availability of PowerLynX, an interactive client communications management solution.
PowerLynX enables large and mid-sized organizations - such as financial institutions and government agencies - to create, customize, send and manage electronic communications with their clients. By increasing client touch-points and providing a single view of all client communications, PowerLynX helps organizations improve client retention, control communication costs and increase revenue.
PowerLynX uses Extensible Markup Language (XML) technology to transform static documents into interactive communications that can be created dynamically and distributed through email, Web portals, wireless devices and any other existing channels.
Recipients of the information - customers, employees, citizens, contributors or business partners - are able to interact with the content in real time, providing immediate feedback that enables the sender to take appropriate follow-up action. For example, PowerLynX can be used for:
-- Explanations of employee benefits
-- Public retirement statements
-- Customer newsletters
-- Insurance premium and coverage information
-- University alumni bulletins
PowerLynX's built-in interactive pop-ups and menus provide easy-to-read information, explanations of confusing terminology or calculations, account insights and opportunities for purchasing related services. Organizations can manage their communications through a single interface and also reduce reliance on call center support for general client inquiries.
"Strengthening client loyalty and retention is a challenge for virtually every organization," said Gary Voight, CEO of Software AG, Inc. "The increase in interactive, personalized client contact points facilitated by PowerLynX provides a powerful springboard for improved client satisfaction, as well as the ability to exponentially expand up-selling and cross-selling opportunities."
PowerLynX presents organizations with a consolidated view of their client communications, even though the content of the communications might have been drawn from different systems throughout the organization. Organizations can track client responses, as well as determine the cost of communicating with each client through multiple channels.
Integrating with a variety of back-office systems, PowerLynX automatically combines modifiable document templates with database content and distribution list information to create personalized interactive documents that can be sent over the Internet.
When a PowerLynX message is received as an email, for example, the recipient is able to open the message as a hypertext markup language (HTML) document and interact with it in a manner similar to forms available on a Web portal.
The PowerLynX architecture is based upon open standards such as XML and Web Services, eliminating the need to re-engineer existing organizational applications, and providing a fully scalable platform for future growth. PowerLynX also integrates with existing security systems, and incorporates current encryption and authentication technologies.
PowerLynX for Windows(R) is available now. A UNIX-based version is planned for delivery later in 2003.
