Society Billiards space available.

The sound of billiard balls bouncing off each other on 25 tables has ceased and the chalk dust has settled. "Society Billiard, "the famed pool and billiards facility located next to the popular Cafe Society restaurant, has closed its doors at 10 East 21st Street. The 8,000 square feet of groundfloor space in one of Manhattan's busiest areas is available, according to Helmsley-Spear, Inc., management and rental agent for the building.

"This unique space offers a great retail presence at onethird the cost of comparable retail space in the Flatiron District, especially for someone who needs 24-hour direct street access in a very active midtown Manhttan retail, commercial and residential area," said Joseph P. McCluskey, a Helmsley senior vice resident who, with Robert Seidenberg, represents 915 Broadway, a 20-story, 24-hour building which is just off Broadway and fifth Avenue.
