Soccer star slams vile stepdad paedophile.

FORMER Ireland international Jon Goodman last night slammed his paedo stepdad after the vile pervert was jailed for 14 years.

Evil Maurice Praill, 78, was locked up by Thailand's Supreme Court for the horrific Viagra-fuelled rape of two girls aged 13 and 14.

Campaigners told how Praill continued to abuse vulnerable street children for years after he was freed to appeal his 2001 conviction.

The unrepentant beast - known as "The Ghost" by his victims - tried to defend his sickening behaviour as he was led away to the cells.

Praill - who expects to die in a hell-hole jail - said: "Paedophile. I don't use that word. I pay to feel. The girls were paid."

Goodman, who played for Ireland under Mick McCarthy, told the Irish Daily Mirror: "I have the same disgust as everyone else at what he did.

He has no relevance for me - I'm sure justice has been done."

The judge said there was no way Praill's victims were lying because their evidence was detailed - including how the monster cut up his Viagra tablets and used KY jelly.

The ex-video shop owner from Harold Hill, Essex, said he was stunned at the verdict and claimed the older of his victims was desperate to marry him.

The deluded fiend added: "I just like helping young people - sex or not, never mind, it was not the main thing."

Praill had been repeatedly arrested for child sex offences since he sold his business in England in 1990 and retired to perv paradise resort Pattaya - 100 miles east of Bangkok.

Sudarat Sereewat, director of Fight Against Child Exploitation, said: "The Supreme Court decision is good news for children in Thailand and the fight against child abuse."
