French bank Societe Generale (SocGen) (SOGN.PA) (OTC: SCGLY) has announced some senior level appointments and the creation of a new department dedicated to Emerging Markets, Environment and Sustainable Development.

Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking has named Federico Turegano as global head of the Natural Resources and Energy Financing within the Capital Raising and Finance division, replacing Denis Childs.

Childs will become head of the newly created Emerging Markets, Environment and Sustainable Development, and would be responsible for the division's worldwide strategic approach to emerging markets.

Turegano had previously served as deputy to the global head of the business line and head of the Energy Group for the Americas. Additionally, Sadia Ricke and Dominique Beretti have both been appointed to serve as Turegano's deputies.
