Don't tell anyone but...

l FILMING was halted on Corrie last week when two figures were spotted hiding in a corner of the studio. A crew member was sent to tell the intruders to hop it - only to find out it was actors Michael Gambon and Charles Dance. They admitted to being fans of the show, were filming in the studio next door and couldn't resist a nosey. And what were they filming? A secret TV project with Ali G. The mind boggles.

l IT'S been reported that Emmerdale actor Chris Smith, who played dullard Robert Sugden for 12 years, was axed from the show after he refused to play gay in a new storyline twist. But according to our sources at Emmerdale, this is not true. While there was a suggestion of Robert going gay it was decided it wasn't right for the character. They insist recasting often happens in soaps and the two are not linked.

l THE Baldwins' love triangle in Coronation Street recently won best storyline at the Soap Awards so it's probably no surprise that actor Paul Fox, who played stepmum-s****ing Mark, is going to be making a dramatic return to the soap later this summer.

l EASTENDER Barbara Windsor has recorded yet another tribute show. She is first guest in the new series of You Only Live Once, a cheekier version of This Is Your Life to be screened on BBC1 on July 16. There'll be the usual stories on Sid, Kenny, Ronnie and "My Scotty" plus she talks about her biggest regret - an affair with a married fisherman in the '60s. After her autobiography was printed last year, the man's wife wrote to Barbara saying she destroyed their marriage.

l EMILY SYMONS is a busy woman. She makes her first appearance in Emmerdale on June 20 as barmaid Louise and will also be returning as Home And Away's dizzy Marilyn for special episodes to be filmed in the UK the same week. Channel 5 promise exciting storylines and a star-studded party for the show's relaunch this month.

l MINDER star Gary Webster will soon be checking into Crossroads hotel as dodgy businessman Richard Mason who takes a shine to waitress and wannabe model Beena Shah. Things soon get steamy, but is Richard all he seems? Probably not.

l WALFORD babe Tamzin Outhwaite flew back from Hawaii, where she is filming her BBC documentary Tamzin Goes Wild, specially for the British Soap Awards. Then having scooped her gong she was on the first plane back the next morning. Think someone told her she was on to a winner?
