So-net Launches Make-Your-Own Map Directory Service.

Tokyo, Japan, Jan 26, 2007 - (JCN) - So-net Entertainment Corporation has announced its So-net buzzmap service which users can access from their website.

So-net's buzzmap utilizes Google Maps API (if accessed on a PC) and Cybermap Japan's Mapion (if accessed via a mobile phone). The buzzmap enables users to make their own map directory by registering their favorite spots (through RSS feeds or by logging on) and then entering comments. Registered spots are shown on the rankings chart and users can also add to their list of favorite spots by importing ones registered by others.

The registered information can be accessed by all 3G mobile phones with WAP 2.0 compatible browsers. The registration of favorite spots from a mobile phone will be available this spring.

Going forward, So-net and So-net blog will launch an interchangeable service allowing users to upload map directories into their blog sites and use blogs to add favorite spots to their maps.
