So just when do you want Bonfire Night? IN BRIEF.
ORGANISERS of Stockton's fireworks spectacular are calling on the public to decide when to host this year's event.
The free annual show takes place on the town's Riverside and often features special guests and music.
But with Guy Fawkes' Night falling on a Monday this year, Stockton Council is asking for the people who attend to help decide the 2018 date.
A post on the council's Facebook page read: "Stockton is home to the most spectacular firework display in the North-east, with more than 55,000 people joining us last year for an amazing display of light and colour.
"We know it may seem a long way off but we're already in the early stages of planning this year's fireworks spectacular.
"We want it to be better than ever and as Guy Fawkes night falls on a Monday, we are considering whether we should hold our display on the Sunday instead so more people have a chance to enjoy it."
So the question is...would you prefer the fireworks on Sunday, November 4 at 6.30pm or Monday, November 5 at 7.30pm? To vote, go to: https:// consultation.stockton.gov.uk
