M2 BEST BOOKS-(C)2000-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose, the officer responsible for leading the Washington DC sniper investigation, has signed a book deal with New York publisher Dutton books, a division of Penguin Putman Inc.

'Three Weeks in October: The Manhunt for the D.C. Sniper' will be published this autumn.

The project has been described as a blow-by-blow account of the investigation, combined with the personal biography of Moose's poor upbringing and his rise to police chief.
