Sneering Ross in new jibe.

JONATHAN Ross was slammed yesterday for giggling and sneering at the official ruling on the obscene phone call scandal.

The Radio 2 presenter made jokes after media watchdog Ofcom's statement about the pounds 150,000 fine it had imposed on the BBC was read on air.

The announcer said: "The material (involving actor Andrew Sachs) ... was exceptionally offensive." It then went on to direct listeners to Ofcom's website for full details.

Giggling, the presenter said: "You didn't get that address down, did you? I want to get the full thing, ... I can't read enough about it." Lib Dem culture spokesman Don Foster said: "If Ross can't show he understands his responsibility, it may be time to clip his wings."
