Snapped up by river king.

AFTER biding his time, he swoops and, whoosh, gets the perfect reward... But we're not just talking about this kingfisher's lunch - snapper Noel Marry spent a year patiently waiting to get the incredible shot.

The 53-year-old coppersmith was about to give up on his project when the shy bird duly obliged. Noel built a special tank by a river in Swords, Ireland, and put a minnow in it but kept missing the feeding spectacle.

He said: "I was delighted when I got the shots. I was about to pack up."
