Smylie & Cobb.

Nicole Robyn Smylie and Jasper Lewis Cobb were united in marriage on the afternoon of May 19, 2012 at Adaton Baptist Church in Starkville. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. J.D. Shaw.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smylie of Madison. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Edith Bowie and the late Mr. Sidney Bowie of Madison, and Mrs. Janie Smylie and the late Mr. William Smylie of Meridian.

The groom is the son of Ms. Lucy Taylor of Marks and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cobb of Batesville. He is the grandson of Mrs. Flora May Cobb and the late Mr. Jasper Cobb of Lambert and Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor and the late Mr. Sherman Taylor of Lambert.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless dress by Allure Bridal with a square neckline, dropped waist, and mermaid-silhouette skirt. The gown had a floor-length hem and sweep train. A beaded crystal and pearl sash was worn around the waist, and a fingertip-length veil outlined with crystals lace, and beading was worn to match the sash. The bridal bouquet featured mixed flowers, the bride's "True Love Waits" ring her grandmother's handkerchief and gold heart brooch, and a blue ribbon to tie them into the bouquet.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was the bride's sister, Meredith Sonny Smylie. Bridesmaids were Erica Cobb, Mary Margaret Cockroft, Megan Hopkins, Kelsey Nurnberg Leah Ross, Jennifer Routh, and Amy Wright The bridesmaids wore cotton Y-neck knee-length dresses in wine. They wore pearl earrings and bracelets adorned with small crystals provided by the bride. They carried hand-tied bouquets of mixed flowers. Flower girl was Ellie Brasher, friend of the bride and groom.

Serving as best man was Jack Allen Cobb, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Jacob Cobb, Chandler Crawford, Matthew McCain, Leyton Mills, Brett Rushing Mason Smylie and Samuel Smylie. Ushers were Jack Cobb, Jacob Cobb, Mason Smylie, and Samuel Smylie.

Katherine Hardin served as the wedding coordinator. Heidi Brasher provided nuptial music and was also a vocalist with her husband Brian Brasher. Rebecca Long Photography photographed the wedding day.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at Memorial Hall on the campus of Mississippi State University, where guests dined on food catered by The Bounty Creative Designs and Catering and danced to music selected by the bride and groom. On the eve of the wedding the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Central Station Grill.

Following a honeymoon to Gatlinburg Tennessee, the couple resides in Starkville.
