SmartSignal Named Combustion Turbine Industry "Super Champion".

LISLE, Ill. -- SmartSignal([R]) Corporation today announced that it has been named a "Super Champion" by the world's oldest and foremost combustion turbine users group, the Combustion Turbine Operations Task Force (CTOTF). An honor to be chosen, SmartSignal will join the new CTOTF Industry Advisory Board and will work with the CTOTF Executive Committee and other industry experts to advise the CTOTF in market direction.

Robert Kirn, Chairman of the CTOTF, said: "The addition of SmartSignal as a CTOTF Super Champion provides another essential element in CTOTF's mission to proactively identify significant power generation opportunities and communicate them to the user community. We are looking forward to SmartSignal's participation as a key contributor to this industry-leading initiative."

SmartSignal provides combined cycle and combustion turbine customers with early and accurate diagnostic notifications of developing equipment and process problems--what is going to fail, what is the apparent cause of the failure, and what is the priority of the impending failure. It even flags problems that are revealed during CT startup cycles, and it provides flexible and full-service options through its Availability and Performance Center.

SmartSignal was invited to become a Super Champion because of its excellent reputation and experience in operations and maintenance of combustion turbines and related equipment. The CTOTF meets the technical networking needs of turbine users worldwide, with members from over 150 companies. SmartSignal will be honored for its contributions to the industry at the CTOTF Spring Turbine Forum. It also will be a sponsor of the COMBINED CYCLE Journal's 2010 Best Practices Awards and will be a featured presenter at the two foremost 2010 industry events: the spring and fall CTOTF Forums.
