SmartFilter 4.1 released by Secure Computing.
Secure Computing Corp (NASDAQ: SCUR), a provider of secure connection solutions, has announced the release of SmartFilter 4.1, offering users protection against spyware, phishing, spam and online threats.
The new offering provides users with real-time security update protection to safeguard against new threats as they appear on the Internet. The company's web monitoring and detection technologies, which encompass techniques such as web crawling, heuristics, spam and phishing trap capabilities, help to quickly identify new threats and include them on its known threat database.
In addition, Secure Computing is also a member of the Anti-Phishing Working Group, an association specialising in eliminating fraud and identity theft that results from e-mail spoofing. Information provided to the company by the APWG will be used to enhance current site identification processes.
