Smart camera reduces pedestrian injury risk.
Using a sensor that uses video recognition algorithms developed by the French Atomic Energy Commission, a smart camera can now scan blind areas around machines, reconstruct its environment in 3D and distinguish people from obstacles--all in real time. Featuring a calculator and an LCD screen, in addition to its camera, the device has a visual and sound signal that alerts drivers whenever other people are detected in "danger zones," and then enables them to judge the seriousness of the situation. As a result, drivers can considerably minimize the potential for injuries, while still having full control over their transportation initiatives. Blaxtair, blaxtair.com.
