Smackers[R] wants to know! Who's your secret sports self?
1 Your gym class hits the field to play some softball, and your teacher picks you to pitch. As you take the mound, your first thought is, A) "Awesome! I'll be striking out every single hitter!" B) "OK, let's see how much my pitching skills have improved since the last time I played." C) "Bummer. I'm so not into pitching under pressure." D) "Hey, this'll be a blast! All my friends wound up on my team!"
2 You've decided it's time to curb the daily mega-mocha brownie consumption and work out. How would you best describe your altitude toward exercise? A) Super-fierce. You vow to go running every single morning at the crack of dawn--you'll be looking better than anybody in a bikini by the pool this summer. B) Darn determined. You plan to trek on the treadmill at least four times a week so you can get into the healthiest tip-top shape possible. C) Committed but casual. You'll pop in an aerobics video as often as your crazy schedule will allow, but you're not going to spaz out if you have to skip a day here and there. D) Fun-filled. You think the best way to get in shape is to simply do more of the awesome activities you love, like tossing a Frisbee in the park with your fab friends.
3 You were totally psyched to find out you made the JV cheering squad! At your first practice, though, the routines are a little tougher to master than you expected. How do you deal? A) Make a vow to backflip your brains out in the backyard. You'll have to put in extra training time if you want to make it to the top of the pyramid. B) Go to your coach for extra help. You want to be the best cheerleader you can be. C) Shrug it off. You'll get the routines down eventually--no big deal. D) Ask your beet pal on the squad to tutor you. The more tumbles you take, the harder you guys laugh!
4 It's Sunday afternoon, and you're channel-surfing. Which TV sport do you find the hardest to peel your eyeballs away from? A) Tennis. You totally admire athletes like Venus and Serena Williams, who readily admit they play to win. B) Golf. It requires complete focus and concentration. C) Pro bowling. Sure, you've gotta make an effort to score those strikes, but there's also a lot of mellow hangin'-around time. D) Baseball. You love to watch guys in uniforms working as a team and giving each other props.
5 Your 'rents are planning to get an in-ground pool installed by this summer! You can't wait because ... A) you'll get to swim tons of laps, so you'll have the absolute beet time on next year's swim team. B) you'll be able to improve your butterfly stroke form to perfection. C) you can float around in an inner tube to your heart's content--you'll even get little umbrellas to put in your punch. D) you and the gang can hold daily cannonball contests.
MOSTLY A's THE QUEEN OF COMPETITION
Team sports charge you up. The goal? To rack up the most baskets or runs in the game. You toil for a title--push-ups, drills, whatever it takes. Flex your competitive muscles in a rockin' sport like soccer!
MOSTLY B's BE ALL YOU CAN BE ATHLETE
You've got a ragin' competitive spirit--against yourself. You work hard to improve skills, whether bringing up a batting average or speeding up sprints. Perfect a sport, like rock climbing, that challenges!
MOSTLY C's STRESS-FREE SPORT SISTER
Your goal is to blow off steam. You smartly see low-impact sports as a way to get in shape and get a feel-good vibe. Try stress-releasing stuff, like yoga. Sample a class at your local Y, or rent a DVD!
MOSTLY D's FUN WITH YOUR FRIENDS
You go for games that make for a groovy time with the gang. Laughter, excitement and togetherness. You can enjoy all that plus great health benefits by trying a sport like pick-up beach volleyball!
