Slow traffic towards Chester city centre after collision off Hoole Way; The route heading south is partially blocked at Black Diamond Street.

There is slow traffic on the approach to Chester city centre this morning due to a collision on one of the main routes into the area.

The A56 Hoole Way heading south inChesteris partially blocked due to an incident at Black Diamond Street.

It is understood the incident has involved a car and a bus.

Traffic monitoring service Inrix received a report of the incident at 9.18am.

The latest update read: "A56 Hoole Way Southbound partially blocked, slow traffic due to accident at Black Diamond Street.

Bus operator Stagecoach has also warned those heading towardsChester city centreto expect congestion.

A tweet read: "Due to an RTA on Hoole Way there is heavy traffic in and around the city centre please plan ahead for your journeys."
