Sleiman bids Said Akl farewell: Medal on Republic's chest.

NNA - Former President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, commiserated on Tuesday the late great poet and writer Said Akl in a farewell speech, confirming that "he (Said Akl) is a medal on the Republic's chest." Sleiman described Akl as "a giant Lebanese who established a special school of poetry and is the author of a specific alphabet used today in digital communication written in Latin letters while communicating in Arabic." Sleiman mourned the late great poet, saying that Said Akl's pride rise as the Cedar and his patriotism is rooted in the earth as the roots of Cedar. "God bless Said Akl, his mind will remain a dream for young people in Lebanon and an evidence to the Lebanese generation to build a nation of creativity, Said Akl's homeland," he concluded. ===========L.Y.R.
