Sky chief announces Marquis partnership.
Holding a 9.9% interest in the financial institution, Toledano will sit on the Advisory Board of Directors, effective immediately. The first branch is scheduled to open in North Miami Beach this August.
"My interest stems from many years working in real estate, developing businesses and in the banking industry," said Toledano. "As an investor, I can assist with the demand for strong lending products in a trying market."
Marquis Bank specializes in private banking and small business loans including many businesses with less than $500,000 in annual sales with a focus on personal service. Loans will be geared to commercial real estate in the area. Marquis plans to grow up to $75 million in assets and $50 million in loans in its first year.
"As an Advisory Board Member of Marquis Bank, Mr. Toledano's professional experience, business contacts and continued support are vital in our business plan of growth and profitability," said Douglas Cutchens, president of Marquis Bank. The charter bank is comprised of general shareholders, Organizing Directors and Advisory Board of Directors with approximately 50 shareholders in total.
