Skopje hosts Western Balkans accession reform conference.
The Secretariat for European Affairs is going is hosting the Regional Conference "Accession Reforms in the Western Balkans" in Skopje Friday.
The opening remarks will be given by the Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Fatmir Besimi, the Head of the EU Delegation to Skopje, Ambassador Aivo Orav, and German Deputy Ambassador Hans-Helge Sander.
The conference will also be attended by Albania's Deputy Minister of European Integration, Gentian Elezi, the Assistant Director of the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Darija Ramljak, the Deputy Minister of European Integration of Kosovo, Ramadan Ilazi, the acting Director of Serbia's European Integration Office, Ksenija Milenkovic, and the State Secretary for European Integration of Montenegro, Aleksandar Pejovic.
Two panel discussions will be held at the beginning of which opening statements will be read by Lawrence Meredith, Head of Unit at the Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission.
The first panel discussion is titled "The New Strategy of Enlargement and the New Generation of Reports" and the second panel discussion focuses on "Redefined Methodology: Positive Aspects and Challenges of Reporting".
The conference is staged in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation, GIZ, as part of the Open Regional Fund for promotion of EU integration through regional cooperation funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation.
