Skinner joins rock singer for new tour.
RAPPER Mike Skinner and rocker Rob Harvey have announced details of a collaborative album and tour featuring a show in Birmingham.Skinner, who grew up in West Heath before fronting chart-topping collective The Streets, and Harvey, ex-singer with The Music, have merged to form supergroup The Dot.
The duo wrote around 60 tracks, after they both left their respective groups last year, but have short-listed 11 for The Dot's debut album And That, out on October 22.

Among those to have made the cut is You Never Asked, a song featuring Solihull singer Clare Maguire.
The tour, which will allow the boys to showcase their new tracks, starts at XOYO in London on October 15 and comes to the HMV institute in Digbeth on October 25.
"We just wanted to do something different," Harvey told music magazine the NME.
