Skanska AB (STO:SKAAB.ST) announced on Thursday that it has signed a contract with Saint Francis Health System for additions and renovations to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
This contract, valued at USD62m, will be included by the company in order bookings for Skanska USA Building in the first quarter 2016.
The company said this project will be managed by Skanska's Texas operations and consists of 12,000 square metres of major renovation to the hospital's existing surgery department including 28 operating rooms and support spaces, as well as about 1,400 square metres of horizontal expansion including seven new operating rooms.
Also, a new 2,500-square-metre mechanical penthouse will be constructed on the roof of the existing surgery department.
According to the company, construction under the contract is expected to commence in April 2016 and is slated for completion in March 2020.
Skanska is a project development and construction group with expertise in construction, development of commercial and residential premises and public-private partnerships projects.
