Sitara-e- Jurrat award announced for deceased bomb disposal squad expert.

ISLAMABAD -- Interior Minister Rehman Malik announced gallantry award "Sitara-e-Jurrat" posthumously for Inspector Hukkam Khan of bomb disposal squad.

Bomb squad veteran Hukkam Khan, aged in his late 50s, was killed on Friday as he attempted to defuse a device in Budh Bair area of Peshawar Conferment of Sitara-e-Jurrat posthumously upon Hukkam KHAN has been announced in recognition of valour and courage shown by him during discharging of his duty as he laid down his life while defusing a bomb.

Interior minister said, "The whole nation is proud of him the way he sacrificed his life while defusing a bomb at Peshawar with high degree of valour and bravery and thwarted the malicious designs of enemy".

Son of Hukkam Khan will be given job in FIA, he said. He also expressed heartiest condolence with bereaved family of late Hukkam Khan.
