Sir Alex: Hoops weren't redfaced.

HONEST Sir Alex Ferguson has shot down Paul Ince's claim that the gulf between Man United and Celtic is embarrassing - and insisted his side did NOT canter to victory two weeks ago.

The Red Devils boss reckons Celts got a raw deal from critics - led by Blackburn boss Ince who branded United's 3-0 win men against boys.

Fergie said: "I read we were in fourth gear - that is rubbish. We scored first which made it hard for Celtic due to their injuries. We were in top gear."
