The central bank of Singapore has said that it wants more oversight of credit bureaus.

On Tuesday, the apex bank said that it is proposing to enact a new Credit Bureau Act (CBA). This would impose more formal oversight on such agencies.

Credit bureaus in Singapore are not subjected to regulation or penalties.
