Sindh Governor assures all support to retain unique status of JPMC.
KARACHI -- Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan here on Monday said that all support would be extended to retain the status of Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre as one of the best tertiary care hospital in the country.
During his visit to the teaching hospital, he assured doctors as well as other employees that besides addressing their genuine problems all out effort is being made by the Sindh government to further strengthen medical care services provided here to the patients.
Varied units including the Cyclotron Unit at JPMC will be converted into state of the art facilities, the Sindh Governor remarked.
Appreciating that JPMC is providing outstanding services to the people from all parts of Sindh as well as from across the country, he said updated treatment options are linked to commitment of the doctors and para-medical as well as nursing staff serving at JPMC.
The well trained professionals that updated surgical options are available for the patients and that no less than 10 patients are being provided with the facility on daily basis, said Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan.
PET Scan being fast arranged at JPMC's Radiology Department is another development that is meant to benefit the patients in general.
This is all the more important as all medical and surgical services are provided to the patients free of cost at JPMC, said the governor.
On the occasion Executive Director of JPMC, Prof. Anis uddin Bhatti said expansion of services at the hospital is being equally supported by the philanthropists.
It is because of their financial assistance that many of the modern gadgets could be procured and additional blocks equipped with updated facilities could be ensured here, said the JPMC chief.
Sindh Governor later specifically visited Neurology, Cardiology and Radiology departments of JPMC.
