Simple solutions to fix carbon footprint; VOICE OF THE NORTH.

SO it's not good for cows and sheep to break wind anymore. Sir Paul McCartney wants to stick to what he knows best and I think many farmers who read your article (The Journal, December 5) would like to stick the article somewhere too.

Why not start by looking at the amount of meat we import? That would certainly reduce our carbon footprint. What's wrong with British? The world has gone mad and the only sane people are the farmers. They have to be, to put up with the endless methane (oops, I meant the other, that all these do-gooders talk about) that they get targeted with.

Let's be completely potty and create mini wind turbines for cows to wear on their heads. Maybe another Government scheme can be created to get it up and running.
