Silverware for Picanto.
The cheeky-looking Picanto pulled out in front of big brother the Kia Rio and rival Fiat Panda to scoop the award and prove that style and design don't need to be sacrified for any price.
Paul Williams, managing director of Kia Motors was cock-a-hoop at the news. "This award confirms what we have known for a long time - that every penny counts.
"When you combine the Picanto's pounds 5895 price tag with top-class residual values, we have the best value car in the UK."
This year's success is not the first time the Picanto has won recognition from Auto Express. Earlier this year it lifted the Small Car award in the magazine's used car honours list.
The Kia Picanto's starting line-up comes in with the 1.0S, priced at just pounds 5895 on the road.
