Sierra On-Line announces new vice president of marketing.
Chasan brings to Sierra On-Line 25 years of experience in marketing consumer products and services international in scope, and in a variety of industries. Most recently, Chasan held the position of vice president of brand marketing with Starbucks Coffee Co. Starbucks's unique brand of marketing contributed greatly to the company's exceptional revenue growth and successful public offering. Chasan has held other senior level marketing positions with the Washington State Lottery, Chateau Ste. Michelle and J. Walter Thompson, in addition to running his own marketing consulting and graphic design firm.
As vice president of marketing, Chasan will be responsible for the marketing and brand management of all of Sierra's products developed in the adventure, sports, simulation, family entertainment and educational categories. "Mr. Chasan brings tremendous marketing experience to Sierra and has demonstrated that he can create effective marketing programs," said Al Higginson, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Sierra. "His experience along with his leadership and management qualities will lead significantly to both brand success and substantial growth for Sierra."
Sierra On-Line Inc. creates and publishes consumer products for the interactive multimedia industry.
