The site provides a quick response to a whole range of inquiries and provides all the practical information you will need.

British food and drink will take centre stage at SIAL 2002, with 69 UK manufacturers represented within the British pavilions organised by Food from Britain at this premier international food and drink exhibition.

With 100,000 international buyers due to visit SIAL 2002, British food and drink producers will have a prime opportunity to demonstrate their reputation for variety, quality and innovation. They will also have the chance to highlight their influence in spearheading some of the most important trends in the global food industry such as convenience and ethnic foods, and innovative drinks.

To spotlight this innovation, Food from Britain will be showcasing all the new British products in a special display area on its stand, with the most original rewarded with Food from Britain's best new British product award.

Visitors will also be attracted to the British pavilions as Food from Britain will be unveiling its new eye-catching stand branding, due to be used for all future shows throughout the world.

The British exhibitors will be supported additionally by Food from Britain through the publication of a catalogue and a comprehensive CD-Rom which will be sent out to the international buyers prior to the show, and available on the FFB stand throughout the show.

Margaret Beckett, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, will be further backing the British at SIAL by touring the British pavilions to see for herself the strength of the British producers and their dedication to increasing export business.

For those companies not yet in a position to exhibit but interested in finding out more about exporting to France, Food from Britain has organised a trade development visit coinciding with the start of SIAL. This will include store visits, market briefings and the opportunity to see first hand the exhibition. David McNair, Chief Executive, Food from Britain commented "SIAL is the most important and largest international food and drink show in 2002, so it is only fitting that Food from Britain is providing such wide-ranging support for our British exhibitors and future exporters. I am encouraged that so many British food and drink manufacturers are taking the opportunity to demonstrate the richness and diversity of their industry, and launch new products at this international showcase."
