Si/Al alloys.

These controlled expansion Si/Al alloys have been expanded to include CE5 (5 ppm/[degrees]C expansion coefficient) and CE20 (equivalent to alloy 4047 for use as lids) in addition to CE7, CE9, CE11, CE13, CE17 and CE17M. The alloys are cost effective and readily available alternatives to Kovar[R], Cu/W and Cu/Mo for many packaging and thermal management applications. With respect to Kovar, the alloys are 1/3 the weight, 2.5X the specific stiffness and 6-10X the thermal conductivity.
