Shuffle Master, Inc. (NASDAQ National Market: SHFL) and Stargames, a Shuffle Master International Company, announced today that they will exhibit at the Asian Gaming Expo (AGE) being held in Macau, June 13 and 14. Product demonstrations will be available at Stand 230.
In addition to displaying well-established products like the Ace(R) and one2six(TM) automatic shufflers and Three Card Poker(R) and Ultimate Texas Hold'em(TM), the exhibit will highlight several products with specific relevance to the Asian gaming market, a region predominantly focused on table game content including baccarat, sic bo, roulette and blackjack. The exhibit will also highlight the Company's multiple content delivery system flexibility by demonstrating these games on the following electronic platforms:
--Vegas Star(R) featuring Dragon Bonus(R) baccarat. A state-of-the-art multi-player table game that combines an animated dealer with up to 16 individual betting stations, Vegas Star will be presented in its popular multi-level theater configuration and will feature Dragon Bonus, the industry's most popular side bet for baccarat. Displayed in its Classic, Satellite and Nova configurations, Vegas Star is rapidly growing in popularity throughout Asia because it dramatically increases game frequency and can accommodate increased traffic without requiring additional personnel.
--Rapid Table Games(R) including Rapid Roulette(R), Rapid SicBo(R) and Rapid Big Wheel(R). Combining a dealer and a live game with individual electronic player stations, Rapid Table Games dramatically increase game frequency and security by automating all aspects of the wagering process. With a variety of installation configurations that can accommodate additional player positions as traffic increases, Rapid Table Games offer unparalleled flexibility needed in Asia's busy casinos.
--Casino On Demand(TM), a wireless and mobile gaming solution that includes a variety of table game selections and a robust race and sports book offering. Built on the award-winning Sona Wireless Platform(TM), Casino On Demand realistically replicates table game play on secure handheld devices while providing casinos with the ability to dramatically increase the gaming activity taking place.
--Electronic Gaming Machines. Developed by Stargames, these state-of-the-art PC-based gaming machines will feature both proven and new game titles including the Action Cash game series, The Hulk and Ghost Rider. Our Action Cash games have performed outstandingly well in Asia and have become the preferred games among many Asian players.
The exhibit will also highlight several additional products, including the following:
--Dragon Bonus(R), a side bet for baccarat that pays when a player's selected hand is a natural winner or when their selected hand wins by four or more points. Currently installed on over 50 tables at Crown Casino in Melbourne, Dragon Bonus has tremendous Asian appeal and will be playable as a felt-based game as well as electronically on the Vegas Star and Casino On Demand platforms.
--Casino War(R), an easy to understand card game that appeals to a wide range of players and features an optional Tie side bet that pays 10 to 1 when the player's card matches the dealer's card. With its fast-paced game action, Casino War is rapidly becoming a preferred gaming choice among Asian players and recently made its Australasian debut at Crown Casino.
--The MD2(R), a two to eight deck batch shuffler that features optional card recognition that checks each deck by reading and verifying every card shuffled. The MD2 can also operate as a stand-alone workstation that conducts speedy deck checking and verification for back-of-house applications.
--Key components of the Intelligent Table System currently in development with IGT and Progressive Gaming International. A comprehensive table gaming management solution that will integrate card recognition, RFID bet recognition, game reporting, player tracking, patron loyalty and Bonusing applications, the exhibit will demonstrate RFID bet recognition and will feature the following:
--Card and game outcome recognition driven by the IS-T1(TM) intelligent shoe, a smart alternative to a traditional shoe that increases baccarat and blackjack game security by reading the rank and suit of each card being dealt and interfaces with an attractive display to post the outcome of each round.
"This year's Asian Gaming Expo will mark the first time Shuffle Master and Stargames have exhibited as one company," stated Paul C. Meyer, Shuffle Master's President and Chief Operating Officer. "Our consolidated product lines have tremendous significance for the rapidly growing Asian market, and we are confident that the show's attendees will respond enthusiastically to the multiple content delivery systems we will feature during the event. Additionally, we are looking forward to introducing the Asian market to our successful Dragon Bonus baccarat side bet which will debut on Vegas Star and our Casino On Demand wireless platforms, highlighting the extensive flexibility of proprietary table game content."
Stargames Managing Director John Rouse commented that "the show in Macau provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our newest Electronic Gaming Machine content and will feature exciting new titles including Fu Lu Shou (The Three Lucky Stars), a customized link and games developed especially for the Asian market, and Domingo, a stand-alone slot game based on dominoes that is available in English, Chinese and features Mahjong Tiles.
