Shrink and Overwrap

Burnley Packaging Machinery are one of the leading UK designers and manufacturers of shrink packaging and overwrapping equipment. From their modern purpose built factory, a wide range of machines is manufactured for the UK and exported throughout the world.

Following the recent acquisition of two companies Carrington and Oliwa for the carton overwrapping and bunch wrapping equipment has now been integrated alongside their shrink wrapping range of equipment. With over 20 years of packaging machinery experience they are well established to cover all markets.

The Carrington automatic bunch wrappers consist of sausage, pie and cheese wrappers with speeds of 50 to 70 packs per minute. Catering for film, foil or parchment materials. The Oliwa carton overwrappers, have four different models with speeds of 50 to 60 packs per minute. In addition they have a semi automatic carton overwrapper that operates at speeds of 10 to 12 packs per minute. New and rebuilt models are available at competitive prices.

A range of semi to fully automatic sleeve sealers and shrink tunnels are available, catering for tray or trayless products with interchangeable parts for quick and efficient change-over in production. A range of shrink tunnels compliments all the wrappers, with mesh or roller conveyors and low energy outputs. They have also designed a failsafe shrink tunnel for complete evacuation of hazardous products from tunnel in an emergency.

Customised semi automatic L sealers for small and large products and small bench mounted L sealers and tunnels for off line production and smaller outputs are available from stock.

Conveyors, tiering and collation units for any of the systems are available and can be customised for different products.

All the equipment has been designed for easy factory maintenance, all electrics are to BS2771 and safety to BS5304 standards throughout their manufacturing programme.
