Shreya Ghoshal in Dubai.
On October 26, the singer with a thick catalogue of Bollywood chart-toppers will take to the Madinat Jumeirah Indoor Arena stage for a three-hour music concert titled Salaam Dubai.
"It's always so much fun to perform in Dubai. I have got so many new songs to be added that the show's format has been changed to include all my new hits," said Ghoshal in an interview with tabloid!.
The award-winning singer, who performed in Dubai last year in November, returns with an interactive show.
"I like it when my fans participate and I always take care to make that happen in my concerts. We are planning it accordingly," said Ghoshal.
The Rajasthan-bred singer's success is the stuff of legends. Discovered by acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali at TV reality show Sa Re Ga Ma, she was offered the chance to be the playback singing voice for Paro (played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) in Devdas. After that stellar beginning in Bollywood there was no looking back as she maintained her position with hits including Pal Pal (Lage Raho Munnabhai), Chikni Chameli (Agneepath) and Ooh La La (The Dirty Picture). Surprisingly, she has also tackled South Indian songs with aplomb such as the award-winning Kalbilathi from the Malayalam blockbuster Anwar and her Tamil hit Munbe Va En Anbe Va composed by A.R. Rahman.
The tickets to Salaam Dubai, which will be up for sale this Wednesday, range from Dh150, Dh175, Dh500, Dh1,000, Dh2000.
