SOME 208 groups from 52 communities across Scotland have been shortlisted for vital funding in the Bank of Scotland Community Fund.

Staff from Bank of Scotland branches across the country helped to chose four good causes within each community and 99 per cent of the nominated groups are within seven miles of a Bank of Scotland branch.

The groups range from funds to support sick, disabled and underprivileged children to a food bank providing emergency meals.

There are groups that provide adventures and challenges for disabled Scouts and groups supporting people with multiple sclerosis.

Each group is doing amazing work to help their own community at the grass roots.

Votes can be cast online, in Bank of Scotland branches and by SMS until November 1. To vote by SMS, text the word VOTE and the bespoke community group code, listed online or in branch, to 82332.
