Show to get a Hughes makeover.

ALAN Hughes has confirmed TV3's plan to "revamp" Ireland AM as the show celebrates its 20th birthday.

The programme will mark two decades on air next year - as will the station.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror at the launch of the LauraLynn Heroes Ball yesterday, Alan said: "I've been there from the start, myself and Mark Cagney.

"It doesn't feel like 20 years ago, it really doesn't. It feels like just a couple of years ago.

"There are plans for a big revamp of the show, yes.

"There's going to be a new set and a new garden.

"Whether there's a revamp on personnel and presenters, I don't know."

20 Number of years Ireland AM will have been on air in 2019
