Shopping For A New Store

With his namesake on R Street in the Heights, former men's store owner W.B. Loyd is looking to open another upscale men's shop after a three-year hiatus of ownership.

"Where did you hear that?" (we got that a lot this week) asked a surprised Loyd when we mentioned we heard he was buying out the Mister Guy shop from current owner Jerry Berkowitz and renaming it Partners.

Loyd is currently managing Mister Guy in Pavilion in the Park but is checking locations to begin a new "aggressive" men's store.

Berkowitz couldn't be reached for comment and Loyd won't confirm possible locations or names, but he says look for an announcement after Nov. 15.
