Ace lensman Dabboo Ratnani captures many moods of B'wood

CELEBRITY photographer Dabboo Ratnani launched his 2013 calendar at a glittering event in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Like every year, Dabboo's calendar this year, too features most top stars of Bollywood. The event, attended by some of the stars featured on the calendar, saw the celebrities drooling over the splendid shots the ace lensman had captured.

Shah Rukh Khan admired his picture, which reveals his intense look. Hrithik Roshan posed with his picture, which shows off the chiselled eight packs the actor has acquired for his forthcoming film Krrish 3 . Dabboo has been releasing a calendar every year for the past 14 years, and top stars such as Shah Rukh, Hrithik, Akshay Kumar, Kajol, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and John Abraham have been regulars on his pages. These celebrities feature this year too, along with new entrants such as Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.

" I have never shot actors on any particular theme. Every actor has an expression, so I just let them be and captured their moods," Dabboo said. " All the actors I have shot so far have the ability to take the entire process to another level. They interact with the camera and we get moments worth publishing," he added.

For the 2013 calendar, Dabboo has roped in 24 celebrities. One of the most eye- catching images this year is a magnificent black- andwhite image of Katrina. " We have shot various moods of Katrina over the years. This year, I wanted the delicateness of her face to be the highlight," Dabboo said.

He is excited about the newcomers on his calendar this year, particularly Alia. " Alia's picture highlights her peppy personality. I wanted to shoot a picture of her where the entire body is hidden behind the boots and her naughtiness is visible only in her eyes," he said.
