Shoot it.

BEING HURT is the worst part of skateboarding, and for some fucked-up reason I've been hurt quite often through all these years--especially over the last two. I'm not complaining; it's part of it. If you're seared of getting hurt, don't skate.

I try to do useful things with all this free time that I spend recovering, and one of those things is shooting photos. I've been doing it for a few years now and I enjoy it very much.

I was hurt on the last few trips, so I started shooting skate photos. It's something completely different, and it makes me forget about my injuries. It also brings me back to my early skate days when my friends and I used to film and shoot photos of each other. We always had the fat kid who wasn't that good, and he ended up being behind the camera, so I guess now it's my turn. Shoot it, fat boy!
