Shipping activity at Port Qasim.

KARACHI -- Five ships arrived at the Port to load/ offload containers at QICT, cement at MW, palm oil at LCT, chemical at EVTL, on September 5, 2014, Port sources said here Saturday.

According to the sources, berth occupancy was maintained at 85%

at the Port on Friday where twelve ships namely M.V Kps-I Alican Bey - Powership, M.V Georgianna Bo, M.V Massillia, M.V Lilly Schulte,

M.V Maersk Kalamata, M.V Alice Rickmers, M.V Rio Blanco, M.T Ocean Jupiter, M.T Lime Galaxy, M.T Bunga Azalea, M.T Feng Hai-33, M.V Ince Ilgaz are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, cement, crude oil, palm oil, phospheric acid, rape seed.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 110850 tonnes comprising 37809 tonnes import, 73041 tonnes export and 3983 TUES was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.

Departures: M.T Bunga Azalea, M.V Lilly Schulte sailed on September 5, 2014, M.V Maersk Kalamata sailed on September 6, 2014.
