Another container ship' Alliance St-Louis' also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same day.
Berth occupancy at the Port remained at 57% on Sunday where eight ships namely C.V Lantau Arrow, C.V MSC Levina, C.V Maersk Kentucky, M.V Dai Duong Sunrise, M.V Reecon Emre, M.V Faith, M.T Atlantic Glory and M.T Chemroad Journey are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, rice, cement, sand crush, palm oil and furnace oil during the last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 78,536 tonnes, comprising 37,596 tonnes imports and 40,940 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 3,422 containers (1,347 imports and 2,075 exports TEUs) which was handled at the port.
Two ships C.V Lantau Arrow and C.V MSC Levina sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship C.V Maersk Kentucky is expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
Three ships C.V Alliance St-Louis, C.V Nysted Maersk and M.T Argent Eyebright carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT and LCT respectively on April 15, while two more ships C.V Hanjin Los Angles and C.V CMA CGM Moliere are due to arrive at Port Qasim on April 16, the sources said.
