Shine up the Valleys; LETTERS.

SIR - There was a recent article in the Western Mail that regretted the image of the Rhondda Valley.

One of the many qualities of the valleys that lie north of Cardiff is the survival of community spirit.

It might be a positive move to present the Valleys as community country (Gwlad Cymuned).

A familiar grouch is about the rain in Wales.

This picture could be reversed by investment.

A moan about the wet could be countered by a reply such as we get a fair bit of rain but we have some of the best water features in the UK.

In my humble opinion the services of a dedicated market agency and selective investment could sharply move the image of the Valleys forward.
