Shimadzu to Release Compact Materials Strength Testing System.

Tokyo, Japan, Aug 25, 2006 - (JCN) - Shimadzu Corporation has released an upgraded testing machine for use in the strength testing of materials such as resin, rubber and film, and the short stroke testing of small electronic parts, as well as for rheologic, medical and cosmetic tests.

The compact body W371 x D538 x H1333mm, can be built into open table for easy operation. The testing speed is 0.05mm/min. to 1000mm/min, with transition time minimized, a maximum capacity of 5kN 920mm stroke. The high-precision system allows load cell rating capacity at a 1/1-1/250 range with instrument reading +/-1% precision.

The new 'EZ Test' series comprises of the EZ-S and EZ-L with pricing of 1.3 million yen and 1.65 million yen respectively. Domestic market share for the EZ Test is expected to expand from 20% to 40% with the new series.
