Sheldon upsets North Medford.
Jenessa DeWitt scored on a header off a free kick by Lauren Bruni in the 73rd minute to give Sheldon a 2-1 Southwest Conference girls soccer win at North Medford on Thursday.
Sarah Phillips gave Sheldon (3-6) a 1-0 halftime lead with a goal in the 25th minute, but second-place North Medford (6-3) came back to tie the match in the 55th minute.
The Black Tornado had given up only three goals in eight matches.
Churchill 1, North Eugene 0: Sam Molinski scored off an assist from Ashley Whittington in the 70th minute to give the host Lancers the win.
Christine Wilson got the shutout with four saves.
South Umpqua 2, Umpqua Valley Christian 0: Chelsea Duffy scored goals in the 39th and 56th minutes for the host Lancers. Stacey Shellard assisted on Duffy's first score.
Amy Barkhurst got the shutout as South Umpqua's defense, led by Marcie Garcia and Bre Klumph, helped the Lancers to a 22-1 shots advantage.
Glide 3, North Bend 0: Cassie Garrison scored two goals and Stacey Morgan had a goal for the host Wildcats. Jessica Hatley had an assist.
Kristen Nelson got the shutout with three saves.
Sutherlin 3, Brookings 1: Breanna Garcia scored a first-half goal, and Kristen Clark and Chelsea Vandehey added second-half goals for the visiting Bulldogs.
Danielle Flores had 17 saves for Sutherlin.
Coquille 4, Douglas 4: Douglas took advantage of an own goal in the second half to tie host Coquille. Kourtni Pruitt had two goals and Courtney Walton scored for the Trojans.
Lea Price scored two goals, and Rocio Servin and Brittany Love also scored for the Red Devils.
Sisters 4, Elmira 0: Ryley Newport and Matt Bryan scored two goals apiece as the host Outlaws avenged their only league loss.
The Falcons fell out of a tie with Marist and into third place.
Marist 1, Pleasant Hill 1: Arin White scored from 12 yards off an assist by Gorvin Gutierrez in the 61st minute to tie the match for host Pleasant Hill.
Jordan Brandt opened the scoring when he headed in a corner kick by Jack Pennington for the Spartans in the 20th minute.
Cottage Grove 2, Junction City 0: Taylor Willis and Garrett Rhodes scored second-half goals in the host Lions' win. Willis scored in the 51st minute and Rhodes added his goal off an assist from Antwone Mootz in the 71st minute.
Churchill 1, North Eugene 0: Alonzo Reyes scored in the 33rd minute as the first-place Lancers improved to 8-0-1 with the win at home.
Kyle Novak earned his fifth league shutout.
Thurston 7, Marshfield 1: Kimo Lawther and Jimmy Watson-Rich scored two goals apiece, and Travis Wells had two assists as the host Colts moved ahead of North Eugene into second place.
Ramon Gordillo, Alex Schultz and Jordan Clevenger also scored for Thurston.
Springfield 9, Willamette 3: Adam Koekkoek scored three goals and Kevin Horton scored twice to lead the Millers. Nestor Lopez, Bryce Fiedler, Jake Haaby and Zach Schilling also scored.
Luke Scott scored a goal and assisted on another, and David Pottorf and Timothy Anthony had goals for the host Wolverines.
Brookings 3, Sutherlin 0: Mark Aguirre scored three goals to lead the second-place Bruins on the road.
