A delicious teenage romp set in small town America depicting all the foibles and angst of the pre adult world. Teen princesses Sicilee Kewe and Maya Baraberra rarely acknowledge each other in their race to be the most popular and beautiful girl at school and when new boy drop dead gorgeous Cody Lightfoot joins their Clifton Springs fraternity it is all out war between them! Cody's kilowatt smile has just about everybody including most of the other girls on high alert as well. When Cody is revealed as an eco warrior suddenly the threatened closure of the school's environment club has an influx of mostly female new members.
But all is not as it seems and what follows is an hilarious series of events as we track Sicilee's and Maya's efforts to discard their royal persona and adhere to a new and very unfamiliar mantra of reduce, reuse, recycle. The humour is cleverly crafted around the exploits of the princesses, geeks and emos who inhabit school life. Yet for all the hyberbole Sheldon weaves an insightful substory about the perceived dangers to our planet that is rarely didactic and complete with useful end websites. And yes the final twist though predictable is satisfying.
