Sheila slaps Kejriwal with legal notice over allegations.

ARVIND Kejriwal was served a legal notice by Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit's political adviser Pawan Khera for allegedly defaming her, " using foul language". Kejriwal has been asked to tender an unconditional apology for levelling baseless allegations against the CM. The anti- graft activist has been organising protests against power tariff hike in the Capital and accused the state government of stalling the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission's move to cut the tariff by 23 per cent in 2010.

The notice said: " Immediately withdraw all the allegations made by you, against Sheila DikshitC* which ( have) defamed my client and the office of the chief minister of Delhi, in talk showsC* Tender an unconditional public apologyC* through print and electronic media." The notice said the word " dalal" ( broker) was used for the CM in a talk show.

Kejriwal responded by saying he will continue doing what he is till corrupt practices are done away with. " I will tell her ( Dikshit) that I will continue to defame her and her party ( Congress) till they mend their ways," he said, while protesting with power department workers on Monday afternoon.

He again attacked the Delhi government and power companies for denying labour rights to over 30,000 contract workers of the power department.

" The police, labour department, Dikshit and BJP -- all are working as agents of these power companies," he said.

As Kejriwal talked to the workers, a man came forward and began gesturing. He was Kanwar Singh, a worker who had been sacked after he lost his voice in an accident at a power plant.

Singh's co- worker revealed that he was sacked mainly because the contractor did not want to pay him compensation.

Many other workers came forward, claiming they did not get adequate salary.
